At Poppy, you decide how you want to pay: per minute or per kilometer, so you always get the best value for your trip.

Updated today

🕑 Choose pay-per-minute if:

You're planning a long drive with little traffic, such as highway trips or off-peak travel.

📏 Choose pay-per-kilometer if

You're expecting city traffic, lots of stops, or slow movement, like during rush hour or in busy city centres. This way, you're not charged for time stuck in traffic, only for the distance you actually drive.

⚠️ Important info to keep in mind:

  • Once you unlock a vehicle, your selected rate (minute or kilometer) applies until the end of the trip.

  • If you choose pay-per-kilometer and the car is inactive for more than 10 minutes, an extra kilometer is charged every 10 minutes of inactivity.

  • If you pause your trip without an active hour/day pass, a stopover fee applies per minute.

  • All rates are clearly shown in the app, so you’ll always know what you're paying.
