🔋 Can I refuel or charge a Poppy for free?
Yes! Poppy offers free refueling at partner stations. All partner stations are clearly marked in the app, or can be viewed here:
You can find these stations in the app by selecting the ‘Fuel’ option, this becomes available when the vehicle’s fuel level drops below 30%.
⛽ How to refuel a Poppy
Open the app and tap 'Fuel' to view partner stations nearby.
Drive to a partner station of your choice.
Select the pump number in the app, you’ll have 90 seconds to begin fueling.
Fuel up, no need to pay or use a card.
Return the nozzle, check the app for confirmation, and enjoy the rest of your ride!
💡 Bonus: If the fuel level was below 30% before refueling, you'll earn credits for your next trip. These will appear in your app automatically and are valid for 30 days.
⚠️ Important information
Only use partner stations to get free fuel and earn credits.
If fuel level drops below 35 km of range, you must refuel before ending your trip.
Ending your trip with less than 35 km will make you responsible for any towing or charging costs.
❗ What if I use a non-partner station?
Belgium, Germany, Netherlands:
No reimbursements for non-partnerstations.
France and Luxembourg:
Pay first, then send the receipt via the in-app live chat to get a refund on your linked payment method.
🚗 Troubleshooting
Fueling timeout:
If you miss the 90-second window after selecting the pump, simply try again in the app.
Wrong fuel type:
Turn off the engine immediately and contact customer support via the in-app live chat. Driving after misfuelling may lead to severe damage.
