❓ You received a fine from the police — what now?
If you receive a fine by post, it means the police recorded an infraction during a ride with Poppy. Poppy’s role is limited to sharing the legally required driver information with the authorities.
The fine is handled entirely by the Federal Public Service (FPS).
📩 You got an email but haven’t received a letter yet?
In our email, we include the PV number (official report number). You can use this to contact FPS for more details about the fine. The fine will be sent by post to your home address. This may take a little time.
💳 How do I pay the fine?
Once you receive the letter, you can pay the fine using the payment details provided in the document.
⚠ An administrative fee is charged for processing the fine via Poppy.
🏠 You no longer live at the address in your Poppy account?
No worries — you can always view and pay your fine online via the official FPS website. Just make sure you have the PV number handy.
💡Changed address? Update your address in your Poppy account to avoid future issues.
🔎 Your address does not appear to exist?
If we don’t have a valid address, we will make sure the fine is sent to our office and we’ll pay the fine on your behalf to avoid extra costs. In that case, you’ll receive an invoice by email for the fine amount + an administrative fee, which will be automatically charged to your linked payment method.
⚖️ What if I want to dispute the fine?
Log in to the FPS portal using the PV or system number and your ID number (as shown in the letter).
All disputes are handled directly by FPS. Their contact details are included in the letter.
💡 Important note:
All disputes must be handled directly with the authorities — not with Poppy.
