What to do when you forgot or found something in the car?

Lost and found made simple, just use the app, and we’ll help sort it out.

🧳 If you forgot something

If you’ve already ended your trip but realized you forgot an item, follow these steps to get them back:

  1. Open the app and tap 'Scan'.

  2. If you’re next to the vehicle, scan the QR code. If you’re already further away, tap 'Enter code/license plate manually'.

  3. If the vehicle is available, you can reserve it remotely. If you need more time to reach it, simply prolong your reservation.

  4. Once you're at the car, you can unlock it and grab your belongings.

💡Note: If the vehicle is already in use by another user, you’ll need to wait and try again once it’s available.

If you have already taken an item with you, please bring it to the nearest police station for proper handling and to ensure its return to the owner.

🔍 If you find something in the car

Help a fellow user out! If you find something that isn't yours:

  • Let us know: Send a message via the in-app chat with a short description of the item.

  • Keep it safe: Please place the item in the glove compartment or the trunk so it’s tucked away safely for the owner.

  • Sensitive items: For items like government IDs, driver’s licenses, wallets, or bank cards, place them in the glove box or trunk for safekeeping. If you have already taken the item, bring it to the nearest police station for proper handling.

  • Privacy and safety: Do not take items with you to ensure the privacy and safety of the owner. Instead, leave them in the vehicle and report them through the in-app chat.

⚠️ Important information:

Poppy cannot be held responsible for any items lost or stolen in the vehicle.
Always double-check before ending your trip to make sure nothing’s left behind.

Poppy recommends leaving items in the vehicle’s glove compartment or trunk to allow the rightful owner to retrieve them. Sensitive items, such as identity documents or wallets, should be handled with extra care and reported through the in-app chat or delivered to the nearest police station if taken.
